This hold typically releases within 3-5 business days if the transaction does not complete (for example, if you encounter an error during checkout). Actual charges only occur when your order is successfully placed.

Payment Security: How We Protect You

Stripe’s Security Infrastructure

Stripe maintains the highest level of payment security available:

PCI DSS Level 1 Certification
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) has four compliance levels. Level 1 is the most stringent, reserved for businesses processing the largest volumes of transactions. Stripe holds Level 1 certification, meaning their security practices are audited annually by independent third parties.

Encryption

  • All data transmitted between your browser and Stripe is encrypted using TLS 1.2+ (Transport Layer Security)

  • Card information is encrypted at rest using AES-256 (Advanced Encryption Standard with 256-bit keys)

  • Encryption keys are stored separately from encrypted data

Tokenization
When you enter your card information on joymade.shop:

  1. Your browser sends encrypted card data directly to Stripe’s servers

  2. Stripe replaces your actual card number with a unique digital “token”

  3. This token (not your real card number) is stored for future reference (if you choose to save your payment method)

  4. Even if our database were compromised, attackers would find only useless tokens – not usable card information

Machine Learning Fraud Detection
Stripe’s Radar system analyzes billions of data points to identify suspicious transactions in real time:

  • Unusual purchase patterns

  • Suspicious device fingerprints

  • Known fraudster indicators

  • Velocity checks (too many attempts from one IP)

  • Geographic anomalies

3D Secure Authentication

JOYMADE’s Security Practices

Beyond Stripe’s protections, we implement our own security measures:

No Storage of Full Card Data
We never store your full credit card number, CVV, or expiration date on our servers. Ever. Tokenization means we don’t need to.

Limited Access
Only authorized JOYMADE personnel with specific roles can access even masked payment information (e.g., “Visa ending in 1234”).

Regular Security Audits
We conduct quarterly vulnerability scans and annual penetration testing on our website infrastructure.

HTTPS Everywhere
joymade.shop uses HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) across every page – not just checkout. This ensures all data exchanged between your browser and our site is encrypted.

Secure Admin Access
Our team uses multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access any administrative systems containing customer or order data.


Refund & Chargeback Protection

Refund Process

When you request a refund (as outlined in our Refund and Return Policy), the money is returned to your original payment method:

Important: While Stripe processes refunds within 24-48 hours of our approval, your bank may take additional time to post the credit to your account. If you haven’t seen a refund after 10 business days, please contact your financial institution first, then reach out to us at joymade.bachwl@gmail.com.

Chargebacks

A chargeback occurs when you dispute a transaction directly with your credit card issuer rather than requesting a refund from us.

Before filing a chargeback, please contact us at joymade.bachwl@gmail.com or +84353627282. Most issues (damaged items, shipping delays, ordering errors) can be resolved faster through our customer service team than through the chargeback process.

If you file a chargeback:

  • Your order is automatically canceled

  • The disputed amount is frozen until the bank decides

  • We will provide Stripe with evidence of the transaction (delivery confirmation, communication records, etc.)

  • If the bank rules in our favor, the charge may be reinstated

  • If you later want the same products, you must place a new order

We never penalize customers for legitimate chargebacks (e.g., fraud on your account). However, we do investigate patterns of abuse.


Pricing, Taxes, & Fees

Currency

All prices on joymade.shop are displayed in United States Dollars (USD) .

For international customers, your bank or credit card issuer will convert USD to your local currency using their exchange rate at the time of transaction. JOYMADE does not control or profit from currency conversion fees.

Taxes

Note on International Orders: Your country’s customs office may require payment of import duties, taxes, or fees before releasing your package. These are NOT included in the price you pay on joymade.shop. Please check with your local customs authority for estimated costs before ordering.

Transaction Fees

JOYMADE charges no additional fees for any payment method. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay (plus applicable taxes and shipping).

However, your financial institution may charge:

  • Foreign transaction fees (if your card is issued outside the US and you pay in USD)

  • Overdraft fees (if using a debit card with insufficient funds)

  • Cash advance fees (if using a credit card for purchases – rare but possible with some cards)

These fees are determined solely by your bank. Please contact them for their fee schedule.

  3. Disable browser extensions – Ad blockers, VPNs, and privacy tools can block Stripe

  4. Use incognito/private mode – This bypasses many extension conflicts

  5. Try from a different device – Phone instead of computer, or vice versa

  6. Contact your bank – Ask if they’re declining international or online transactions

Saving Payment Methods (Optional)

For returning customers, Stripe offers the ability to securely save your payment information for faster future checkouts.

How it works:

  • Stripe stores a token (not your actual card number)

  • On your next visit, you’ll see the last 4 digits of your saved card

  • You can select it with one click – no need to re-enter details

To remove a saved payment method:
